This is a new t-shirt design I made to sell at the ED store. Jack Thompson, the anti-videogame lawyer, has infamously dubbed violent videogames as "Murder Simulators." When we first heard this, Yuji and I called every game we played a murder simulator, because the term he created to make videogames sound evil just made them sound more awesome. The current controversy over Grand Theft Auto : San Andreas reminded me of Yuji and I's adoption of the phrase, and I mentioned it to Razlo. We decided that it would make for an awesome shirt. And I think it did.
Unfortunately, the Zazzle store we use to make all of our ED and BU shirts took the design down. Apparantly, they have a content rating system, and Razlo submitted it with an improper rating, so they pulled the design from their store. Which I was pissed about... but then I thought about it, and it's kind of funny, considering the GTA:SA rating controversy. We hope to have it up and available for purchase again soon. UPDATE! I heard about that lawyer.. Poor fellow, has nothing else better to do except bashing on videogames. He needs to get a life, really. There's a lot more important stuff going on in the world today besides suing a videogame. Geez.
